The North Star Tactical M16/AR-15 MOLLE magazine pouch is a new-production item from North Star Tactical, an American-owned and operated company that specializes in tactical products for the military, law enforcement, EMTs and the civilian market. This magazine pouch is the perfect accessory for anyone that owns an AR-15 or any other rifle that accepts STANAG-compatible box magazines.
The North Star Tactical M16/AR-15 MOLLE magazine pouch, constructed from durable, high-strength nylon with military-grade stitching, measures approximately 7 inches by 7 inches by 2 inches. As noted, the pouch is available in both olive drab and black colors. Each pouch is a dual-chambered pouch that features two separate oversized closure flaps that are secured via hook and loop fasteners. Two 30-round M16/AR-15 magazines will fit into each chamber, bringing the total capacity to four magazines and 120 rounds of 5.56x45mm NATO or .223 Remington ammunition. Surprisingly, you may also carry two AK-47 magazines in place of four M16/AR-15 magazines. The Universal Attachment System is a series of one-inch wide straps located on the reverse of the magazine pouch. These straps, which are secured via snap fasteners, make the pouch compatible with the Pouch Attachment Ladder System, also known as PALS. PALS is a system of nylon webbing that forms a grid, usually found on MOLLE rucksacks, packs and vests, that provides for the attachment of pouches and other tactical accessories.
