People are always on the hunt for a good deal. That is why people have been haggling longer than anyone can remember. It would be absolutely absurd to walk into a car dealership, pay sticker price and walk out 30 minutes later with a brand new car. And if you did, you may want to check your back for a sign marked “sucker,” compliments of the dealer that just took advantage of you. The never-ending quest for a bargain is also responsible for the recent explosion in the trend of “extreme couponing.” Those who participate in this phenomenon spend countless hours planning their shopping sprees – examining store ads, clipping coupons and making space in their closets – in order to score major discounts. The result is a bulk buy that has literally saved the buyer hundreds. Who wouldn’t want to get $500 worth of groceries for $50? After all, it only makes sense to want more for less. In fact, I am willing to bet that was a big consideration on the part of Argentinian arms manufacturer Bersa when they decided to give the Bersa Thunder .380 pistol the green light.

The Bersa Thunder .380 pistol is a lightweight, semi-automatic, hammer-fired pistol that utilizes a blowback operation. The Bersa Thunder .380 is chambered for the .380 ACP cartridge and accepts 7-round box magazines, giving the pistol a “7+1” capacity. The best part is that there is no need to haggle. The pistol is designed with the same accuracy, reliability and versatility of the Walther PPK but is available for approximately half of the price. Talk about a bargain buy! Accessories include one 7-round magazine and a trigger lock.

If you are looking for an affordable alternative to the comparable Walther PPK, look no further than the Bersa Thunder .380 pistol. This exceptional pistol is available for the exceptional price of $270.25.

As noted, the Bersa Thunder .380 pistol was conceived by Argentinian arms manufacturer Bersa. The pistol was originally designed for civilians, evidenced by the fact that it is chambered for .380 ACP, the most powerful cartridge allowed for use by civilians in many South American countries. Not surprisingly, the pistol is one of the most popular in the region. Regardless of the pistol’s intended market, the Bersa Thunder .380 has been fielded by numerous military and law enforcement units – including the Ecuadorian Air Force – due to its desirable qualities.

The pistol has several design features that give it advantages over comparable pistols. First is the aluminum alloy frame, which provides the pistol with its renowned light weight. You will also be pleased to hear that the frame is nickel plated, which protects against corrosion and pitting. To counteract the extremely light frame and aid in recoil is the machined steel slide, available in a matte black finish. These two components combine beautifully for a duotone look that makes this pistol hard to resist. Throw in the 3-dot sight system (consisting of an integral blade front sight and a windage-adjustable, notched rear sight), extended slide release, finger rest magazine and three different safeties (integral locking system, external thumb safety and firing pin safety) and you have got the makings for an excellent little pistol. As noted, each pistol comes with one 7-round stainless steel magazine and a trigger lock.

The Bersa Thunder .380 pistol features a single/double action and a barrel measuring 3.5 inches in length. Other dimensions are as follows: 6.6-inch overall length, 4.9-inch height and 1.3-inch width. The pistol weighs an impressive 20 ounces and also includes checkered polymer grips.

The Thunder .380 is Bersa’s best-selling firearm, and for good reason. The aforementioned accuracy, reliability and versatility make it an excellent choice for personal protection. Its compact size does not hurt either – nor its compact price. Consider the Bersa Thunder .380 pistol for:

- Military

- Law Enforcement

- Personal protection and self-defense

- First-time buyers

- James Bond
