First Aid Films

When people hear the term “first aid,” they likely think of hospitals, medical treatment and similar concepts. First aid actually refers to the initial care for an illness or injury and is usually performed by untrained, non-professionals to serve as a stopgap until professional medical care can be provided. Generally, situations in which first aid becomes necessary are unpredictable, which makes preparedness imperative. Now more than ever, it is important to understand the first aid skills required to preserve lives, prevent further harm and promote recovery.

We value our customers’ safety and offer a number of first aid films designed to increase their knowledge base and equip them with the skills necessary to provide first aid in a variety of emergency situations. Consider a scenario in which a friend has sustained an injury from a firearm. Would you know how to react and provide treatment until emergency medical technicians or paramedics arrived on scene? If not, “Gunshot Wound First Aid” may be worth checking out. What if it were a knife wound? Then “Knife Wound First Aid” may be the DVD for you. We also offer “Basic First Aid” and “Complete CPR,” among several others that will start you on your way to becoming a lifesaver.

All of our first aid films are presented by John Klatt, president and founder of American Safety. American Safety is an organization dedicated to educating the public on safety and first aid since 1995 by providing a wide variety of safety training programs. Mr. Klatt is also a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served as a member of the Para Rescue Team in Antarctica as well as being an explosive ordnance disposal and rescue diver. In short, you can count on the information presented in these films to be both medically accurate and up-to-date.
