The slide has some minor flecks of pitting near the ejection port and to the left of the front sight. This was likely caused by the pistol's canvas holster and the climate this particular pistol was used in (Hong Kong and Malaysia). Remember, this was an actively used pistol, issued to elite forces of the British government. It was not purchased "new" by a collector and placed in a safe for resale 60 years after it was made.
Engravings on the slide read:
FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE
HERSTAL BELGIQUE
BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE
Serial number E04027 is matched on both the frame and the slide. The Browning Pistol in the picture is the one you are purchasing.
Comes with one original 13rd magazine.
