Fibre-Metal was formed in 1905 when the founder of the company invented the protective welding helmet. In the years that followed, the company established a name for itself as a leader in the industry with products recognized for their quality and innovation. Today, with over 100 years of experience, the company continues production on a wide variety of personal protective equipment and routinely receives the highest user-satisfaction ratings.
With the Fibre-Metal faceshield, the company introduces a product to their lineup that offers visual protection from dust, dirt, debris and other job hazards that could affect the eyes in a lightweight, comfortable and easy-to-wear package.
The basis for the Fibre-Metal faceshield is the F400 head piece. The durable head piece is constructed from Noryl®, an amorphous thermoplastic that is known for its resistance to heat and electricity. The hallmark of the head piece, however, is the Speedy® loop mounting system, which is used to adjust the facemask to almost any size. Ear-to-ear width of the mounting system is easily adjusted via a snapping/sliding adjustment strap on the crown. Circumference is adjusted even easier. To adjust the circumference, simply turn the dial located at the back of the mounting system. Protection is provided by the wide-vision faceshield window, which is injection molded from propionate and is SEI certified to comply with all ANSI standards.
Though the Fibre-Metal faceshield was designed for welders, it is adaptable to just about any job that presents a hazard to the eyes and face. Those interested should act quickly though. These faceshields typically run much higher than our price of $12.95, and once they are discovered they will sell out.
