Taurus Firearms

Way back in 1939, a small tool and die company was founded in Porto Alegre, Brazil. The company began by producing small tools designed for use in manufacturing processes. In the years that followed, the company branched out to include divisions focused on metals manufacturing, plastics, body armor and, most importantly, firearms. That company is Forjas Taurus. Of course, you may recognize the company better as Taurus International. Since its inception, Taurus has had ties to both Smith & Wesson and Beretta, which allowed the company access to information related to the design, manufacture and tooling of some of the world's most popular pistols – including Beretta's 92 series. Then, in 1982, the company opened a subsidiary in the United States. Popularity and sales soared when this was coupled with the announcement of their lifetime repair policy.

Taurus produced its first revolver in 1941 – the Model 38101SO. It combined a number of design elements from manufacturers like Colt and Smith & Wesson. Since then, the company has gone on to become one of the world's largest manufacturers of small arms. Today, the company offers a wide range of products from revolvers to both steel- and polymer-framed pistols. In an effort to provide the widest selection possible, Keepshooting.com has decided to stock a number of the finest Taurus firearms.

What kind of shop would we be if we carried Taurus firearms but not the famous Taurus Raging Bull? Chambered in .44 Magnum, the Raging Bull features a 6.5-inch barrel and more power than you could ever hope for. We also offer the versatile Taurus Judge, which fires both .410 shotshells as well as .45LC cartridges. This ensures that you will be able to accurately judge any situation and respond accordingly. If you are not a fan of revolvers, you may be more interested in the Taurus PT 24/7. The award-winning 24/7 is a polymer-framed, semi-automatic pistol that utilizes a short-recoil operation and is chambered in .40S&W. No matter what your preference, you are sure to find a Taurus that suits you well.
