Inert Ordnance

One of the most popular military surplus hobbies is collecting inert ordnance of various types.  Nothing matches the "coolness" factor of a huge artillery shell or hand grenade sitting in your gun room.  With most governments now insisting on inert ordnance being destroyed, the value and desire for inert ordnance is going to increase exponentially over the years.

The most popular type of inert ordnance has always been the dummy grenade.  Dummy grenades come in three different styles representing the US Military evolution of hand grenades.   The most popular style is of course the pineapple dummy grenade which has been adapted to everything from a "complaint department" desk toy to a shifter for a race car.   No inert ordnance collection is complete however without a pineapple dummy grenade.

Every inert ordnance collection needs to have examples of popular cartridges.   One inert cartridge that is highly prized is the 20mm Dummy Round which is an authentic US military issued training round used to calibrate firearms like the Vulcan cannon.  We also have an anti-tank projectile, the M-735 Tank Killer which was used with great effectiveness in the first Gulf War.
