Wow! We have never had military surplus parachute rocket flares before,
and these won't last long. These were made by the Czech military and
were issued in the field for nighttime signal and rescue purposes. They
are handheld, and can be used without any additional equipment.
Each parachute flare rockets to 1,500 feet, ignites a super-bright white-flare,
deploys a parachute and gently lands. Total air and burn time for these
flares is approximately 60 seconds, and can be seen for several miles!
Parachute rocket flares are getting harder and harder to restock so if you are interested, you should place an order soon!
Instructions for Firing Flare:
1. Make sure you are in a safe area where there are no dry brush, or
roofs that could potentially catch on fire.
2. Wear eye and ear protection, and make sure you can grasp the lower
metal portion of the flare tight with your hand. If not, wear gloves
that allow you to grip tighter.
3. Hold the flare parallel to your body with the metal cap towards the
bottom.
4. Point the flare at a slight angle, and unscrew the metal cap on the
bottom to expose the ring to ignite it.
5. Hold the flare very tight, and pull hard on the ring to ignite the
flare.
6. If the flare lands on dry ground, make sure you extinguish any area
that will potentially catch fire. |
