These East German wrist cuffs are an interesting method of suspect restraint. I wonder how they took in a criminal with just one of their arms in the officer's control, seeing as the criminal could simply start punching the officer in rapid succession. They do hurt the person being retrained if you twist the cuffs hard enough, though..

Besides that point, this will go nicely with my collection of DDR militaria. The price is of course brilliant like everything else on here, I'm not surprised. A nice buy, for sure.

since they were so cheap this was an impulse buy. they do work quite well though, and it hurts if twisted hard. good for keeping the wife in line, but unlike cuffs you have to hold on or she'll get away! (just joking lol) it's a good conversation piece as nobody seems to know what they are until you put them on the person. cool stuff!!! (Posted on 10/12/11)
