i have one of these in silver. isn't it a flash hider though? the cuts are similar to the ar15/m16 birdcage flash hider. also good for protecting the barrel crown if you climb around on rocks and accidentally hit the muzzle on a rock. it's saved the crown on my barrel more than once!
