Makes it easier to lug all my rounds about at the range. Big can with a good latch and a comfortable handle, mine had leather bits, not sure what for but they made it easier on the hands yet. Will likely buy more in the future. (Posted on 5/6/12)

These were made for belt feeding 7.62x51mm NATO ROUNDS into the german MG3 machine gun. Mine still had the tensioned spring steel in the bottom to help lift and feed the ammo belts into the MG. Very durable german craftsmanship although mine had been repainted OD green at some point. I don't have any .308 belts but them can holds 3" shotgun shells like a champ and fits a lot of them! The best thing about these boxes is their strength and finish. They are MUCH more can than the US versions. I don't know about long term storage since they do not have the rubber seal like their US counterparts. They make great range boxes. Will buy more. (Posted on 3/4/12)

Great surplus can for the money. Is definitely for the .308. I thought perhaps my surplus 8mm ammo would fit (comparing the photos) but it will not. Oh well, I'll use it to store various odds and ends. (Posted on 1/13/12)

These ammo cans are great. The handles are off set to one side so you can easily carry four loaded cans with one person -- much more room than a 30 cal can and a much better opening and closing latch. Each will hold 500 rounds depending on the ammo, some more some less. I'll be getting more of these. (Posted on 12/5/11)

I bought 4 of these,and was very happy with them for the price i paid,lightweight,as ammo is heavy enough. Handles are offset so you can carry two cans with each hand easily, doubling the amount of ammo one person can carry easily. (Posted on 11/24/11)
