Bought my set Oct 2011. Great set Just the right size to cook for Two. I use a pair of vise Grips (multi task Item) for a hangle on the top plate as a frying pan. Going to get another set before their all gone. (Posted on 1/22/13)

It was a bit smaller than I expected but its hard to tell form internet photos. Other than that its solid mess kit, not the highest grade aluminum but plenty sturdy for the job. It is very lightweight compared to older US made wing nut style kits. I also like that you can put water it the bottom pot as a double boiler and cook the food in the top pan at a steady temp. It makes cleanup easier and it also can pasteurize your drinking water at the same time, and you still have a serving bowl left to eat out of. All around great product. (Posted on 9/12/12)

Same basic size as the Czech mess kit, both fit well together using straps or big rubber bands. Used very little, good quality,and compact. I would rather have the Czech kit if I were forced to have only one mess kit, but this kit fits so well underneath the Czech mess kit, they almost seem to have been built for each other. Buy this as companion camp cooking ware for the Czech Mess Kit. Use the Czech mess kit to cook over the fire with and this kit to serve in or eat out of. (Posted on 7/30/12)

This is good working backpackers kit. This is all you need to cook, boil water or ever fry small trout with the lid. Came in like new condition with what looked oxidation on the top of big bowl and bottom of small bowl. I washed and its just color from heat. Can't beat the price. Would recomend. This is a decent little travel mess kit for an individual. The aluminum heats up and cools down fast and the size is big enough to actually make a real meal in. Just remember, aluminum is soft so it is prone to dents and scratches. I like to use it with the "Esbit Folding Stove". Also, I drilled two small holes in the top lip of the larger pan and attached the handle of a standard paintcan. This allows me to use it over a fire if desired and it works very well.
