These steel helmets were once standard-issue service helmets and were originally designed for and issued to members of the Bulgarian land forces, one of the three major service branches that make up the military of Bulgaria, officially known as the Bulgarian army. Interestingly enough, these helmets were originally designed to replace the M36 helmet, an earlier German-styled helmet, but never did in any official capacity. Moreover, the design for the Bulgarian M72 helmet is nearly a direct copy of the Italian M33 combat helmet with only slight aesthetic differences.

Despite being considered military surplus items, these helmets are more so collectibles than anything else. Each Bulgarian M72 helmet is completely unissued and free from use. They were received in their original packaging, and any wear is likely due to handling or long-term storage. As such, they remain in excellent condition, ready for display, reenactment or a range of other applications.

The Bulgarian M72 helmet features an outer shell with a steel construction and a coat of olive drab paint that has remained intact throughout its long life. The original leather liner also remains intact and is mounted to the outer shell via a three rivets. Understand that this helmet, originally manufactured in the mid-20th century, does not feature the most technologically advanced materials or constructions. As such, the original eight-point leather liner is crudely adjusted by way of a cotton drawstring that provides for an adjustable fit. Similarly the leather chinstrap remains and is also fully adjustable for a number of different configurations.

These windproof smocks, which are parkas despite the confusing descriptor, were originally designed for and issued to members of the British army, one of the three professional uniformed service branches of Her Majesty's armed forces, otherwise known as the British armed forces. Interestingly enough, these windproof smocks were issued alongside the standard Desert DPM combat jackets, but are cut loosely to fit over layers of clothing.

Though we are unable to confirm issuance of our British Desert DPM windproof smocks, each appears to remain in excellent to like-new condition, and is still fully capable of providing prospective buyers with years of service stateside. Despite its somewhat confusing descriptor, the British Desert DPM windproof smock is a lightweight, windproof parka constructed from windproof fabric. The smock is secured via a full-length front zipper with a Velcro® storm flap. It also features a cinch-cord waist to prevent updrafts as well as an integral, form-fitting hood. The form-fitting properties characteristic of the hood stem from its utilization of both a drawstring and a wire frame that ensure protection from all undesirable elements. Other features includes two large chest pockets alongside two slash chest pockets, two large waist pockets, a small accessory pocket on the left sleeve and patches with various insignias. There are a variety of sizes available, and no preference will be given with respect to available insignias.

The Swedish military flashlight is one of the more interesting military surplus products that have come through the Keepshooting.com warehouses in recent memory. As noted, all flashlights are brand new, unissued Swedish military surplus. They even come in their original packaging. As such, you need not worry about faulty wiring, blown circuits, water damage or any other malfunctions that could keep you from enjoying the product.

Formally, known as the ficklampa 3, or "torch 3," the Swedish military flashlight is a standard issue piece of equipment for the Swedish army. It is housed within a plastic case that measures approximately 4.25 inches, by 2.5 inches by 1.5 inches. It is powered by two standard C cell batteries and includes a spare bulb within the case.

Upon receiving your flashlight, you are likely to notice the presence of three slide levers located on the front of the case. These levers are attached to two lenses and a shade, each of which is capable of manipulating the light emitted from the bulb. There is one red lens, one green lens and one blackout shade. These gas masks were once standard-issue masks that were originally designed for and used by members of the Polish land forces, which is one of the four service branches that make up the Siły Zbrojne Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej, or the armed forced of the Republic of Poland. Interestingly enough, the design for these masks is very similar to several other surplus masks, including the Bulgarian MC-1 mask and the Czech CM-3 mask. Today, these masks are widely available and are sought after by collectors due to their unique style, which includes circular glass eyepieces and a speech diaphragm.

Though these gas masks were originally designed to provide protection from radioactive fallout in the mid-20th century, they were also deemed appropriate for limited protection from nuclear, biological and chemical agents. As they were not initially manufactured for NBC protection, we cannot guarantee any real-life protection and do not recommend them for use as such. This recommendation is also partially due to the fact that they are surplus masks. And though many appear to remain in great condition, each carries storage wear that prevents them from appearing in top-notch condition.
