Tear Gas and Pepper Spray

Tear gas and pepper spray has a long history of effectiveness in both defensive and crowd control scenarios.  You may be wondering what the difference is between tear gas and pepper spray, which is a common question.  Tear gas is best described as a category of chemical mixtures known as lachrymatory agents, which includes Oleoresin Capsicum, better known as pepper spray.  The most potent and common type of tear gas is a blend of Oleoresin Capsicum and 2-chlorobenzalmalononitrile which is commonly referred to as OC/CS gas.

When our customers ask for recommendations on the best tear gas for self defense, we always recommend that they purchase the biggest unit available.  With most work places having security checkpoints that disallow key chain units, there really isn't a benefit to a key chain unit.  There is no doubt however about the efficacy of our tear gas canister when it comes to providing you with superior protection in the form of tear gas.  The sheer size of this canister will terrify the criminal you point it at and you can rest easily knowing you can stay far away while hitting your attacker with a stream of painful OC/CS liquid.

For those customers who have more complex tear gas needs, we have a selection of tactical tear gas products.  The most popular of these is our tear gas grenade line from Aerko International.  Our customers who choose this product realize the value in having access to a tear gas grenade that is capable of incapacitating a threatening crowd both indoors and outdoors.  In a dangerous world, it pays to be prepared for any situation and tear gas grenades certainly count as good preparation.
