Survivor Firestarter

To Ignite Tinder:  Pile together dry grass, leaves, moss, cloth, paper, pine needles, etc.  Hold fire starter so that the tip is pressing on the ground.  Place the blade on flint at a 45 degree angle and scrape in a downward motion so that sparks ignite tinder.

To Ignite Magnesium: The magnesium must be scraped off into shavings in order to ignite.  Place blade on magnesium at a 45 degree angle and scrape down.  Pile shavings together near tinder, and ignite with sparks from flint.  The Flint is an alloy that gives you a spark of over 500 degrees worth of heat.
