The black Balaclava has become an icon of style, fashion, and of course is an essential piece of your tactical uniform. This particular black Balaclava is from the Canadian armed forces, originally designed as part of the Canadian NBC suit to act as a protective hood. The material used to construct it however makes it a far better choice as a tactical Balaclava.
Keeps the wind out of my jacket and my neck , face and ears warm when riding my Harley in the cold. Just part of the gear my friends and I use for riding in the cold (below 35 degrees). I give them away as presents and always keep in my saddlebag for emergencies. Can be a life saver on a long ride in winter.
wasn't as made, but still good.
its a good piece, though i found a few flaws. When mine came in, it came in the color green with a black inner lining. Putting mine on my head also was enough to snap a few stitches around the face hole. Other than that it works alright. I use it for an NBC Hood.
excellent gear for layering!
With the cowl attatched to these, they make for excellent layering materiel. Use then with a warm jacket and sweater and you'll be fine! Also great in the rain.
Aramid blend warm Added plus
Couldn't pass this up. Bit snug unless I go high& tight w/haircut. Great value I've never seen in local surplus stores - works as advertised or added high heat protection.
Brand new,in a sealed package.
High quality, well made, and looks great. Fits me a bit on the snug side, though. (However I may just have a big head...)
Looks like part of the Canadian MOPP gear set-up. Packaged in an air tight envelope. The one I got would probably be called a size med to large.
