I bought this rifle from a store that was closing down. It was thier last C308 and I received a discount. The C308's trigger is as bad as a Mosin Nagant trigger. Also the tube the charging handle rides in, was full of blast media. But, it ran well right out of the box. I did extensive cleaning and removed the grit. I tore down the trigger completely. Polished all side surfaces and squared up the seer surfaces. It's ok now. But, the trigger is crude compared to other battle rifles. It really slings the fired cases out and has never failed to cycle. It seems pretty accurate. I am happy to have it.
Built with CETME parts, this battle rifle is a new version of an old classic. The CETME was a Spanish rifle - the precursor to the German G3.
Mags are inexpensive and it has the "UK slap."
I regret having to sell mine. It was a fun rifle.
