The Cold Steel Axe Gang Hatchet is one of the finest battle hatchets produced by Cold Steel. With the staff and management of Cold Steel being active in martial arts and the film industry, they took special care to make this Chinese Gang Hatchet as functional as it is visually appealing. There are many Cold Steel innovative aspects of this hatchet including the differentially heat treated drop-forged head - which has a hard edge capable of reaching razor sharpness, but a soft steel body for absorbing impacts. The handle is made from hand picked straight grain American Hickory and is embellished with the Kanji characters for "Axe Gang" to give the axe added appeal.

The handle won't last forever and it's a pain to replace, but this is the standard for league throwing. It's a cheap axe that is excellent to use.
I stripped the paint off and cut the handle and made mine look like the "competition thrower" that Cold Steel also makes now because they're only marginally different.

I use these for throwing. I have several other throwing axes and these work as well or better compared to my competition axes. They are well balanced and I like these the best.

Seemed Decent. Might be better for a pro. Handle broke off after 10 throws.

Handle broke off after about 10 throws. Given it was a kid using it, he's thrown a fair amount of tomahawks/axes. I'd suggest buying a full metal tang axe if you want durability.

I gave this to my neighbor that is tired of freeloaders, Eating him and his neighbors out of house and home, Of course the police are called and the neighbors stood up against the state, but my neighbors never had a problem with freeloaders after I gave these to them.

Great axe so far, but needs handle trimmed for WATL regulations.

Great throwing axe. Light weight, smooth handle, and great sticking ability with the blade length. Threw for the first time, and it felt great. Can’t say much on durability because I’ve only thrown it once, but it seems solid. Only thing is that you will need to take some length off the handle to meet WATL regulations, if you plan on throwing it in leagues.
