All Cor-Bon self-defense ammunition is loaded with the company's exclusively-designed jacketed hollow point projectiles. These innovative projectiles feature internal and external jacket serrations that are designed to enhance expansion and weight retention for improved performance. Additionally, each cartridge is a high-velocity load, which Cor-Bon believes will ensure terminal energy and penetration. All Cor-Bon ammunition is manufactured in the United States at the main manufacturing facility in Sturgis, South Dakota by their parent group, Dakota Ammo Incorporated. Their modern manufacturing process begins with premium raw components in order to provide for a product that boasts uncompromised performance, and ends with a satisfied customer.

Having said all of that, each box of Cor-Bon .45 ACP +P ammunition contains 20 non-corrosive, brass-cased cartridges. Each cartridge contains a 230 gr jacketed hollow point projectile, which is specially designed to maximize tissue, increase stopping power and offer consistent on-target expansion. As these are overpressure loads, this ammunition boasts muzzle velocities that have been observed to travel at speeds of up to 950 fps. At 20 yards, a distance well over the typical range for self-defense, the velocity dips slightly to just 927 fps. All Cor-Bon ammunition is manufactured using premium raw materials and is hand-inspected prior to shipping.
