Danish Civil Defence Shoulder Bag
Out of stock
As noted, each Danish civil defence shoulder bag offered by Keepshooting.com is an authentic piece of military surplus from Denmark. The bags were originally designed for and issued to members enlisted in the hæren, otherwise known as the Royal Danish army, which is one of the three major service branches that comprise the armed forces of the Kingdom of Denmark.
Though we cannot confirm the issuance of our Danish civil defence shoulder bags, each bag appears to remain unissued. As such, they all remain in excellent condition, free from use and the typical rips, tears, stains and scents that often plague military surplus equipment. Buy with confidence knowing that you will get a bag worthy of years of reliable service.
Constructed from a tough, gray canvas material, the bag measures approximately nine inches by nine inches by four inches and features an oversized snap-fastened closure flap. The flap opens to reveal an interior lined with a rubberized vinyl material that offers a very limited resistance to water. There are also scores pockets and pouches surrounding the spacious storage compartment – too many to describe. Other features include an adjustable shoulder strap as well as dual belt loops on the reverse.
How can we be sure that this is a Danish civil defence shoulder bag? One needs only look to the markings found on the exterior of the bag, where the initials "CF" are displayed prominently. These initials stand for civilforsvaret, Danish for "civil defence." Additionally, a blue triangle on a field of orange can be seen just below these initials, which is the internationally recognized sign for civil defence as set forth in the 1977 Protocols to the 1949 Geneva Convention. In fact, this sign can even be found on the official flag of the International Civil Defence Organization.
