VERY rough finish..
I ordered three handles. All were very rough..
I bought them with the intention of cutting down for smaller handles. They will be great for this.
As for using full size, I suggest wearing heavy leather gloves.

I got one to test the water and for sure was a great move. Usually in the winter I am working on axes restoration and let's see what head this handle will get. Most likely I will get few more in the near future and if your looking for a good piece of solid wood then you are on the right place.
