OK To be honest I have only bought and fired 500 rounds of this ammo in recent years.
Our range holds indoor 22 matches on occasion and I decided to join in one of them.
Well if your going to shoot in a match with people who shoot in matches on a regular basis you do everything you can to give yourself a chance. Including buying the best ammo avalible!
SO..... I bought me 500 rounds of this nice Federal Premium Gold Medal ammo, got my bone stock Ruger 22/45 out and went and had a really good time of getting my butt kicked! :-)
Needless to say I was far from winning but it was at no fault of the ammo. My best 5 rnd group was about the size of a nickel which I thought was pretty good till I looked at the other shooters targets. :(
Some of those guys were using the same ammo (but their guns were a lot fancier than mine:)and had put 5 rnd groups into spots that could be easily covered with a dime and give you change!
I got WHOOPED! But I had a really good time and enjoyed it all the same! Again it was a lot of fun just learning to shoot from all the different positions required!
To anyone looking to get into competive shooting this ammo is a good place to start.
It was clean.
Quite accurate, and fed and functioned flawlessly through the entire match
I also shot some of the best groups I have ever fired with a 22 hand gun that night
Ovverall though its just a bit to pricey a game for me but if your looking to get into competetive shooting I would definetly recomend this ammo to start with
Plus even at this price its still a lot cheaper than the equivalent RWS and just as good if not better!
Overall Top Quality Competition ammo!
