The Federal Cartridge Company, headquartered in Anoka, Minnesota, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alliant Techsystems. Each cartridge contains a 55 gr full metal jacket M193 bullet, which provides for increased muzzle velocities. Additionally, each cartridge uses a brass case and includes a water-resistant lacquer primer sealant as well as an M41 primer with an operating range of minus 40 to 125 degrees Fahrenheit, all of which provide for enhanced performance and reliability. All cartridges are visually inspected at the plant prior to packaging.
