It does what it is supposed to and that is make a very good, weather proof poncho. I have not been caught in a real rainfall situation yet to test it out but it appears to work just fine and be very effective in heavy rains. It has not deteriorated under heavy use and I have only given it a wash once so far. A great lightweight product and very effective in rainy weather situations. Also not heavy and great in summer conditions as a poncho for your pack or other uses as an under cover and the hoodie fits great for keeping rain out of your face. It is just right for the money as far as the product itself is concerned and worth buying for the use and convenience.

Thinner material. Seams not stitched as well, leaving gaps that will let through the water if left un-stitched with tape as they used to. I guess they don’t make them like they used to.

We've used the Oragne CFT rain ponchos many times for rain protection while fishing. These ponchos will provide complete protection from the rain, however they do run small. The packaging suggests they will stretch to 82" wide and 94" long, but it's hard to imagine how that's possible. It may stretch some with large individuals, but with the 60" tall people, it is not going to cover the entire head or most of the body. They will work in a pinch for that purpose, however, as the material is quite thick. We will continue to use them as fishing rain protection, and plan to store them in a Go Bag for emergency kit purpose. We'll just have to warn others that it will be snug fitting, even if you can make it around your head and over your shoulders. Overall, very happy with the purchase. It has performed its original function and we are pleased with the price.

It does what it is supposed to, the snaps are pretty nice and strong. This one I have used for several months, was left out in rain a couple of times and hasn't torn up. I will buy this one again, just to have it as an emergency poncho. I am however, not really a big fan of snaps. If I need to wear it in the cold I would rather have a few more layers and zippers or buttons, and it would have gotten 5 stars, however for a poncho I use for the odd occasion when I am caught out, it will get the 4 stars.

Very well made poncho that I can see me using for years. It's durable enough that my Boy Scout troop can take it out camping and then have me pick it up at some point during the year to replace the tarp on my hunting trips and I don't worry about any abuse that I'm going to give it
