French Army Field Cabinet

Heavy nylon constuction with aluminium tent pole style frame. Easy to follow Assembly instructions are posted on the biggest shelf platform in the kit. Great for hanging cloths, storing packs and boot, and lighter items. Would not recommend for storing hefty things. Came a little dusty but no rips, tears, or faulty buttons. Kit disassembles very tent like into a large briefcase like carry case.

I did an internet-search for this item a year ago, and found it here. Out-of-stock. RATS! But I waited the year, and it finally came back in-stock. It was my Christmas present to myself. And well worth the wait. No problems with the condition. no problems with assembly once I found the instructions under the top shelf.

I just got mine in today! Holy moly it was heavy! I wish it was packed more full because I couldn't transport the box easily but the mystery of the shipping being so much was solved. I love it! It was easy to build, it looks great, it's just one of the best things I have bought off of this site, and now I have a great gear closet.

The nature of these field units lends them to things like airsoft events. Would be a great organizer for a teams inventory.

I read all the reviews, and decided to give this a try. I needed something besides a footlocker to put all my hunting clothes and kit so that I could find it all come that time. This sounded like it would do nicely. I had no issues putting it together and it works perfect. As a bonus, it now doubles as a privacy screen in the hunting cabin for screening off the porta-potty (the girls like that). Gotta say I'm really happy, and as a bonus I got 2 still-good French AA batteries that the previous owner left behind - his loss!

I bought a total of 4 of these, They are a very useful item for someone like me, who is in desperate need of organization. While imported from Asia, (yes even the proud French are outsourcing some military procurement), these cabinets are nicely made and a great design. There is 1 problem I encountered with the last three I ordered, namely, the bottom zippers on all 3 were non functional, one I was able to repair myself, and the other 2, KS promptly and without hassle, provided properly functioning replacement covers for. So a bit of wading through the muck, but we got to where we needed to get to, thanks again KS customer service, 5 stars for your great service!

Received my cabinet last night. It went together easily, due to the instructions inset on the roof piece. Great quality item, and adaptable inside to whatever requirement you might have. I'll be using it for my work gear, and the outside pouches for weapon's cleaning kit. This is a great item.

Decided on purchase of a second unit, as I was so pleased with the first, and found it to be far more useful than I had envisioned. #2 was a bit more worn and had seen more use than it's predecessor, main kink however was one of the 4 main zippers, (one of the two along the bottom short side), that support the bottom and tension the whole cover up over the frame was trashed without any chance of salvaging it. Called KS and was asked for photos of the problem , after which I was promised shipment of a replacement cover. After about 4 days admin. time, and a week for coast to coast shipping, I had in had a properly functioning replacement cover, so all's well that ends well, thanks to responsible customer service and support. Have decided to purchase a third as these are really aiding in organization around here!

When I first got on Keepshooting and saw the French Army Cabinet I knew I was going to get one--And I'm glad I did--Most of my Military Garments are hanging and on the shelf's, you have your option to us one side as hanging and the other side with shelf's or you can us both sides for hanging at lease shirts and the lower section for shelf's --I'm looking to order another one for the remainder of garments I have-- Cabinet Came in a box and in the box was the carry bag with the cabinet in it, NO DAMAGE to cabinet--Easy to put together--Great Buy--

Missed getting one of these a couple of years ago, and kicked myself since, so was happy to have a second shot. glad I purchased as it's a well thought out, easily stowable and portable item, which is without a doubt much higher quality and construction than any thing you could get in the normal retail venues. After taking delivery of a lightly used unit, decided to get another. Ideal for a cabin, or if you are living lightly, and need some means of organizing, storing, and protecting clothing and misc. The French have some nice stuff, I'm impressed.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I bought this. The condition was basically brand new, assembly was quick and easy. I've got it in garage to hold my odds and ends and fits that purpose perfectly. Very happy I decided to buy this!

This item is kind of a odd one. BUT Way Cool. XO was so pleased with first two, got her another one. "When mama's not happy...............

Got two of these, Darling wife has a walk-in closet (that is bigger than my gun room), "I can put, yada yada yada, in those" Better constructed than expected. Ya gotta hand it to those French officers, and feel sorry for their Subs. And don't forget the UPS guy! You could almost use one for a yard tool locker.

I bought this cabinet because I needed a replacement storage unit for my clothes. Set up was a breeze, very few parts, and when it was all set up it was very sturdy. After letting it air out a bit it was perfect for storing my street clothes. My one and only gripe with this thing is that it is missing the leveling piece on one of the legs, doesn't affect the stability much though. It is still much better than similar Fabriqué en Chine products.
