These suspenders are a great buy for the field gear collector - I couldn't find any in France for less money. Note that these are not in any way related to the Indochina war, but were introduced with the new F1 field gear in the 1970s. They should not be confused with the earlier, and harder to find TAP suspenders.

Excellent French Army H-suspenders. A few random points:
- These are close in pattern to the US M1956 suspenders, but they weigh a lot less because the shoulders aren't padded.
- The back straps secure to the equipment belt with Velcro; the Velcro on my suspenders was in fantastic shape.
- Mine were clearly used, but not abused. I put them through the wash on the cold cycle, and they came out great.
- Hard to beat the $4.95 price point; great to have around as an extra load carrier.
Excellent: Just Like Dien Bien Phu

This is the type of H-harness that was used by French Paratroopers and the FFL during the Indochina War. Think what you will of the French Army, they fought hard in Viet Nam. These harnesses are getting tough to find; I've seen wartime dated versions go for over $100 on a certain online auction site.
