Gerber Survival Case

The Gerber® emergency survival case is a great way to begin preparing for any emergency survival situation. The survival case is a rigid, fold-open case designed by Gerber® to store a wealth of indispensable emergency tools and accessories (see description below) in a compact case that is both practical and easily manageable.

These survival cases are all brand new items constructed from a variety of tough materials. The rigid skeleton, which measures approximately 12 inches by 11 inches by 3 inches, is encased by a thick polyester material with reinforced edges and high-quality stitching. The back of the case is adorned with two Velcro® strips that allow the case to secure to the carpeting found inside a vehicle or any similar surface. Additionally, there is an ergonomic, rubber carrying handle that makes transportation of the survival case extremely comfortable. Being that this case employs a fold-open design, there are two straps with plastic buckles that provide ensured closure. Speaking of the fold-open design, I think it’s about time we open this case up and take a look inside.

The inside of the Gerber® emergency survival case is just as nice as the outside, if not better. It comes equipped with several pouches, pockets and straps designed to house specific tools and accessories. However, if you’re feeling creative, these storage areas are adaptable to hold plenty of different items. The biggest pouch is designed specifically to hold a folding entrenchment tool/shovel and houses our German tri-fold shovel perfectly, which would be a vital tool in both emergency and non-emergency situations. To the left of this pouch are two 6-inch pockets that will hold flashlights, Leatherman multi-tools, knives, road flares or just about anything else you could dream up. Above these pockets are two Velcro® straps designed to secure whatever you choose to store in the pockets. The other side of the case is equally impressive and features a smaller 4.5-inch pocket, similar to the aforementioned pockets. There is also a set of Velcro® straps with a removable sheath that is designed specifically to hold a small hatchet, which could prove equally handy as the German tri-fold shovel. The real draw here, however, is the zippered mesh pocket, which measures 9.5 inches by 6 inches. This pocket can be used to carry any small, essential accessories such as hardware, batteries, folded maps and much more.

Wow!
This is a must have for any camper/ prepper. Makes a nice addition to a b.o.b. Very compact- a very well thought out case. Keeps your tri-fold shovel secure w/o taking up the extra space/ bulk that the rubber snap cases do, adjustable pockets/ Velcro closures to keep flashlights, etc. organized and high quality all around this is built to last. Get it.

Perfect for the car
After watching the video on the product's page I was sold. I set it up pretty much the same as shown in the video. Fits perfectly under my truck's seat. Couldn't be happier.

Perfect fit.
I configured mine the same way they did on the video. I keep it under the drivers' seat of my work car, just in case. Great quality and perfect size case for fifteen bucks.

What a deal. I found the same case on line for $35. Lots of pockets to stow things in. Make your own bug-out case!
