this is the perfect match for my geco flare gun. always fast shipping A++++
Holster was in like-new condition and contained a flare gun cleaning brush. The pistol fits well with plenty of room to spare.
I ordered one of these to compare to my Russian holster and to my surprise it is the same to better quality, really good condition and works great
This holster was well used, i don't like to return things so after quite a bit of glue and a trip to a local seamstress it is now in serviceable condition. Sorry about the low rating but it is what it is.
This holster fits my AYF40 German flare pistol perfectly. The quality is great, have finally found one! The shipping was really fast. Now if I can only find flares to shoot?? Tom
This is the holster for the German flare pistol listed on this web site and it does what it was meant to do. It protects the pistol from scratches and other things but it is big. The price is the same almost everywhere you go with a variation of around 5 dollars.
Regardless of what others have said this holster is not made of leather, but a 2 ply plastic type material that splits apart in some places. Superglue em' back together and your golden. Fits my Polish H&K copy 26.5mm flare gun well. I really just bought the unit for the cleaning rod which none of my local gun shops seem carry, lol. However, if you have a flare pistol and plan on using it for more than show and tell, then I would recommend getting this holster while you can.
By looking at the picture, it is hard to tell how big this thing actually is. I thought it would allow you to hold any surplus flare gun nice and compact around your waist (because there is a belt loop attachment, it works great.) It will definitely fit around your waist, but the size of the holster is actually quite big. I can fit my hand up to right beneath my forearm area into the holster. It also comes with a strap on it, for you to wear over your shoulder if you don't want to attach it to your pants.
The leather is extremely tough, nice and seems extremely durable. The holster for the flares themselves are very tough and thick as well. This is a great item if you own any of the surplus 26.5mm flare guns. From the second I received this item, it immediately gave me this nostalgic value from the movie "Stand By Me." (The main character has a canteen extremely similar to what KS sells.)
The cleaning rods bristles were unused, and the rod is not even rusted at all, nice and shiny. Again, KS delivered quality product for an unbeatable price. You will not find this surplus holster cheaper anywhere, especially since the 26.5mm flare guns are becoming/are such a collectors item now. Even if you don't own a 26.5mm surplus flare gun, I'd say pick one of these up anyway, because you never know when one might show up at an auction/ swap meet.
holster fits well with polish flare gun that i purchased.
came with cleaning brush, looks new .
Nice holster. Holds the flare gun well, and keeps it and the flares protected. Like new.
Amazing bag for the price! Any European flare gun I have ever seen will fit in this bag. It has a five round flare bandolier that is covered by the waterproof top flap. It comes with a brass 26.5mm bore brush, which was a bonus because none of my surplus flare guns came with one and they are somewhat hard to find. Like most all german military surplus it is extremely rugged and well constructed.
Rugged and well made. Compartments and bandoleer well engineered. Latching will last numerous cycles.
Holster is in perfect condition. Polish78 Gecco flare gun fit well and plus it has a nice additional flare storage for collector or everyday use thanks again Keepshooting.
Dittos for above. Tough, rubberized material, mine was in perfect condition. Works great, will hold any of the available surplus flare guns.
I used to own one of these German flare gun holsters. Like most everything from Germany, it was very well made. It's too bad for me that I sold this same holster along with a HK flare gun at a gun show, because later on, I actually lost one of my Geco flare guns in the woods when it fell out of my cargo pocket while I was hiking. I will have to order this holster again soon to prevent that from happening again.
