German Flecktarn Parka

I have several surplus field jackets. This one is one of my top favorites. I got extra large which is really to big for me. I'm 5'8 165. I like to buy European stuff over sized because it tends to be to small, and I like to layer. An extra large would fit a much bigger guy.
The thing has a cool camo pattern, its got good deep pockets, its fabric is a heavy cotton canvas. It is water resistant somewhat. Get the liner while they last and have a great winter jacket.

This parka is a real quality piece of gear. They are made up of a heavyweight cotton fabric. These jackets show an excellent attention to detail, such as all of the seams have cloth tape sewn into them to reinforce the seams. Some of the other well thought out features of the jacket are that the armpits have zippered vents to keep the wearer cooler if need be; the cuffs have velcro adjustment to them; there are drawstrings around the hood, waist, and bottom; and my favorite is that the bottom set of pockets have zippers to them. There is four pockets on the front of the jacket and one small one on the left shoulder. Originally these jackets were designed to be worn with a separate liner in cooler weather. I have one of the liners but I found that regular hoodie works just as well. This jacket is my early spring fishing coat, but I would not hesitate to use it throughout the year as well. These really are a high quality item at an excellent price.
