German Police Summer Jacket

Beautiful jacket, beautiful price, do not hesitate to buy this if it's in stock

Had this jacket for about a year now and I'm absolutely in love with it. I came back to see if I could purchase another but sadly it's out of stock. I legit wear this jacket all the time (and get endless compliments) when the weather is cooler, and I'm looking forwards to fall/winter so I could bring this bad boy out again. 10/10 would definitely purchase again.

Great wind protection for skiing on spring days. I got the size 50, which fits true to American Large, but loose for active use and layering.

I love how light the material is on this Polizei Summer Jacket. This has everything I want in a light jacket, but my only gripe about it is how short it is. I fits flush at the waist granting it a tendency to ride up when sitting and standing, making it a deal breaker for me.

I reviewed the first two below, that I liked so much I ordered these two. The other review applies here, except a few differences. These two still made by Ziegler, but a year earlier, 2003. Tagged size 56, others were 54, so these being tagged larger worried me. I tried them on; with no noticeable difference. I compared them in different ways by matching seams of both size jackets; shoulder to shoulder, shoulder to cuff, armpit to cuff, side to side. I don't find any difference. So, that maybe explains the size choice being given as "XL (54-56)".Normally, a 54 is a U.S. 44, and a 56 is a U.S. 46.

All four look identical down to the patch and zippers. If you're not bothered by the "POLIZEI" back and patch, they are great jackets, worth several times the price.

FWIW, I looked it up, and it is pronounced "polizz-high". These were worn by the German border police from 1975-2006, when they switched to more American styled uniforms. The shoulder patch denotes which German state the officer was assigned to. Mine contain a river and a horse, which is for North Rhine-Westphalia, in the NW corner of Germany. The website photo (which does very poor justice to these jackets) has the same patch.

Ordered two size XL on a Friday, received them Wednesday by Priority Mail. They are true to my size, marked German size 54, and likely new, unused. Totally a dark Forest Green color. Upper zippered pockets are extra deep, and contain two straps with snaps, I suppose to hold something longer than the pocket. Lower handwarmer pockets are a good size. Zippered inside pocket in left side of nylon lining. Zippered pocket on left shoulder also has three pen slots. High quality material and construction. Tagged as being made in 2004 by Zeigler Textil GmbH. These are basically a lightweight cotton/poly shell flight jacket.

This a nice lightweight jacket/windbreaker. Fit ran true to size (mine was a xxl which fit me 6' 220lbs) Appears brand new. Plus with the added coolness of being Bundespolizei surplus combined with a unbelievable price, this was a heckuva good buy.

I got my jacket in looks freaking awesome. I love having internal storage in my jackets/coats so when I saw that this has one I was ecstatic. The two external zipper pockets are awesome hold up against the weather well and are deep. Side pockets comfortable to put your hands. And bonus the polizei lettering are reflectors. All in all this was one of my best purchases, would love to get these for friends and family.

I had bought the winter version of this a while back from another site, before I knew Keep Shooting existed, and was very pleased with it. I happened across a pic of Bruce Willis's daughter wearing this summer jacket. A Google search led me here and wow, the price can't be beat. True to size and appears brand new. Now I can Polizei all year round.

Unlike the picture, the cuffs, waistband and body are all the same color, not two-toned. Both external chest diagonal pockets have an internal 2 piece retention strap with snaps. The left arm pocket also has 3 pen slots under the insignia. To call it a great value would be an understatement. I am delighted with this purchase.

High quality, lightweight jacket that will be great for cool evenings. Police makings are great conversation starters. The jacket I received was in mint condition. Great jacket that can't be beat for the price.

This is one of the best items I have bought from Keepshooting, and I have bought a lot of military surplus from them. Lightweight and brand new. Love the Polizei patch on the sleeve and across the back. Great conversation starter but also an excellent jacket.

I took a chance and ordered one of these jackets to leave in the truck. This is a heck of a value. Mine was as new and of high quality. Lots of pockets. Nice light jacket for cool nights when camping.
