The German Police Zippered Turtleneck Sweater is an authentic part of the German Border Police uniform. These sweaters were issued to these important front-line police officers as they needed a dress sweater that could be worn during any season. With Germany having diverse terrain and border guard officers being responsible for all of Germany, the need for this style of sweater is clear. Border police may be working in the central part of Germany one week and the Alpine areas the next, with this sweater they have the ability to adjust depending upon the climate.

The German government places a great importance on equipping their front line security agents with the best equipment. Beautiful sweater, especially with the embroidered German Police patch on the chest! It is just a very warm, high quality sweater you'd expect from the Germans. I ordered the largest size available at the time & although it "fits", it still is a bit too snug. I'm hoping it'll stretch out a bit with use. Bravo to Keep Shooting for always having such really cool surplus unissued Police & Military "stuff" available. I'm a customer for life! I'm hooked!

This thing is NICE! I don't know what it is about German Cops, but apparently they have formed some sort of trade union whose list of workplace demands include access to the most aesthetically-pleasing gear humanly possible. This sweater looks like something you would get at a fine department store stateside. Very thick, lush, and warm too. Can't believe I got such a great looking sweater for such an amazing price. Mine was gently used. I'm 6'2", 170#, kinda long and lanky, and the German size 50-52 fits great. Not snug, but not huge either.
