German WWII Wool Socks

The German Army during World War II used grey wool socks like this reproductions as their standard issue sock for all soldiers. Benefits of wool for use in clothing have been established for centuries and the German government used their best wool for uniforms and field gear like socks.

With living history events gaining in popularity, Sturm of Germany produced these wool socks to be as close to the originals as possible. From the selection of materials, the color of the wool, and the distinctive size rings around the top of each sock the look and feel of the war time originals has been achieved.
