Haglöfs of Sweden has been making products for the outdoors since 1914, so it was a natural fit for the Swedish army to contract with them for a new light weight water resistant rucksack in the 1980s. What resulted from this collaboration is this light weight, water resistant, and dependable rucksack that was a favorite of soldiers in the Swedish Army.

Simplicity is a virtue here. Not for heavy loads, but if you are packing a dry change of clothes and an insulated parka for when you are less active and it cools off, it's perfect. Or as a stuff sack. A minimalist aesthetic in a pleasing green color. Also in new condition. Hard to beat.
Very comfortable and versatile. Like everyone else states this is a great pack. Mine also came with the extension part you can fit a TON in this bag. The straps are easily adjustable. You will not be disapointed. I am buying a second one.
My bag arrived in what appeared to be new condition. Excellent quality, holds a lot, great value for the $$.
Fits more than it initially appears to - expands for height!
It has two spots with attachment points for other pouches, too! A good bag.
Good quality nylon bag_ extendable to hold more than what this bag appears to. All purpose, mine holds a lot of my past purchases but topping out, had to order some different bags to prep out scenarios. Good Value!!!
A great little day pack for the trunk. A good amount of room and well made. It's "old school " but very functional. Inner expansion sleeve for height, draw sting closure, and top flap. I found some old shoulder pads that adapted very easily. The strap adjustments are ingenious and work perfectly.
All in great shape and great function. A nice little set up.
The bag I received was also made in Israel (but for some reason has a "Made in Sweden" paper tag added to it...your doing, KS merchandisers?). It was new in plastic.
There is no leather on this bag, contrary to the description in the catalog, but "styles will vary". Closure strap and patches for lashing extras on the outside are a synthetic material, which could work out fine. Stamping of the parts is a little sloppy. The bag is basically an envelope of waterproofed nylon material with drawstring and lid, and I like that kind of thing. Its very light and minimal. Would make a good small canoe bag.
The D-rings used to adjust the length of the shoulder straps work very well. They do not slip. I was surprised about that. The shoulder straps do cut a bit if you fill this up. I might have had 15-20 lbs in it. I'd add some kind of padding to the shoulder straps if I decide to use it for dayhikes. Its OK for keeping in the car, folds down very small for a backup bag, don't plan to carry it except for short distances unless you do something about the straps.
As a second carry on item, this is an ideal bag for frequent flyers. I often find myself shuttling some of my personal items home or away so I may need two bags on an outbound flight and only one inbound. This bag folds down to a space about the bulk of a couple of shirts or a pair of shorts making it the ideal pack to carry these items. It's sturdy and reliable despite it's weight, after multiple flights it shows less wear than most luggage. It even survived being checked luggage, an ordeal I was worried about since it was fully stuffed and has that front strap that is not necessarily designed as a load bearing handle. Simple, reliable, comfortable and cheap. What else can you ask for?
I'd describe this bag as a mix between duffel bag and backpack. It's durable, and will last me an extremely long time. I'm very happy with everything about this bag, especially the price.
Don't let the shoulder straps fool you. They are extremely comfortable and adjust easily with a single tug to contour to your body with an amazing fit. This is my absolute favorite daypack. Initially I was worried about the straps but I put a 30 pound dumb bell in the bag and walked around and it felt oddly comfortable. Even so it's a very lightweight and versatile pack. I don't even notice it's there. You can fit A TON of gear into it because there is a pack etension made of the same quality material that pulls out of the bag (same as outside, no separate interior bag, just tucks down when in regular smaller size).
The pack l received was brand new, sealed in plastic. Though I'm sure the pack was designed by haglofs mine is a newer version made by a contractor in Israel. The pack is very light weight but of excellent quality .There's a extension folded into the top of the bag that can be extended to increase the size of the bag by about one third. Perfect for a bug out bag, canoe pack or even a travel duffel. Grab one before their gone.
