Wife is 5'4", and my standard 870(18.5" bbl, 14" LOP) was just not manageable. Local gun stores did not have youth model 870's out of hunting season. Picked up one like mine on sale, and installed this stock and forearm set. Better quality than factory, nice upgrade even if you don't need to change the length. Because the gun fits her so well, it has also increased her confidence in using it. This stock and forearm are exactly what the 870 needed. The short LOP allows for use in tight spaces or with a vest on. The Hogue over molded grippy surfaces on the pistol grip and forearm make control easier. Went on without any problems, and fits perfectly.
Highly recommend for a defense shotgun upgrade.

This is a Great product!!! Should have went with the 14 inch. This stock is just to short and uncomfortable .However I still have my oem Remington stock that i can always slap back on so it works out. My fault for ordering the wrong size so it takes nothing away from the hogue productline this is well worth the money!!

The 870 pull length was a little long for my wife, so I bought this. I've had hogue grips on my pistols for years, and love their quality and the feel of their grips. This is a nice addition to the shotgun, was easy to install, and will make shooting that much more comfortable.

Forend does not fit. When you pull back on the forend it doesn't come back far enough to eject and load rounds.Both my stock and speed feed work fine. Something needs to be trimmed or altered. Company offered no help and would not do any refund, after they said to ship it back on my dime. Its defective and they say its because I mounted it. How am I supposes to know until its on first. The feel of the forend is great just didn't fit. LG Outdoors is a terrible company to do business with. Poor customer service. Mine looked lik it had been opened before. Stay clear of this company.

Only complaint is there is a gap between the stock and where it meets the metal. Great fill and the gap doesn't seem to effect the gun at all, just a visual thing. Love the feel and is a good length for those that are looking for a shorter stock. The forend has a great rubbery texture and is a little shorter than the stock forend, but it hasn't effected anything for me. I am very happy with Hogue and switching these out on my 12ga 870.
