excellent grip, solid feel, looks good. I used this on the last 15 month deployment to Afghanistan. By the end of the deploymen some of the rubber had been rubbed smooth but it still provided good grip retention.

Comfortable and fits well on the 870. Also a pretty good value. The only reason this is not 5 stars, is when you remove the recoil pad, you can see that the plastic this stock is made of is rather thin. It is about half the thickness of the butler creek stock I replaced.

Feels just like a Monogrip for your shotgun- great alternative to wood furniture for home defense. Forend cleared a Mesa Tactical 6-shell side saddle. Not as classy as walnut, but much better traction and significantly lighter. Shorter LOP swings faster (or at least seems to) and would be a good option for those with a shorter wingspan.

I am 5'8" and apparently have some short arms. I always struggled with shouldering, sighting, and aiming accurately for all uses - deer, turkey, skeet, whatever I was hunting. Adding clothing into the mix, the standard 14" LOP on my 870 Mag Exp. was too long and the tip of my finger was hardly touching the trigger.

This kit fixed all that, and even though I prefer a wood stock and fore on my guns, the practicality of LOP had to be addressed for me to hunt confidently with this gun. I reckon I have missed a few turkey because of this problem and will be looking forward to hunting them in the spring!

The only complaint I had regarding this is the recoil pad does not marry completely with the stock and there is a slight "lip" on the side. It could be me over torquing the screws or not tightening it correctly, but some trim work could probably be done. Also, the stock is hollow but solid. I intend to make a foam insert to reduce noise while in the field.

Overall, the gun is more pleasurable to use as a result and I am excited about my Rem 870 again!
