This is the best stock I've used for my Remington 870

This is the best stock I've used for my Remington 870. I installed this in place of a BlackHawk Knoxx AR-Style stock, and I would never go back. This stock absorbs just as much recoil as the Knoxx unit, and is much more comfortable in every way. It's got a shorter length of pull, which I prefer for all types of shooting (defensive loads, target loads, etc). The fore-grip is a bit shorter than stock, and allows shells to be loaded even when pulled all the way back, which is a nice feature.

Just as advertised. These are great and they made a big difference. My wife can now handle her 870 much better. I even like it better. The grips have great traction when you grab them. Good stuff.

A must have on a duty shotgun!!!! Even as a large man, it is more comfortable to shoulder this stock than a standard length of pull stock when wearing body armor. Well worth the money.

Older Remington 870.
Love it. For this money you can't beat this stock. They are light weight but secure on the rifle. The grip is outstanding and it looks awesome too. Keep in mind that the length of pull will be shorter then the one that came from Remington.

Great product. Fits like a glove to my 870 with zero modifications. Looks like it was made for it.

I hate this damn thing. Too short and too loose. Not made to tolerance. Wasted 2 hours screwing with this junk.

Stock will likely be fine, but the install sucks.

Stock will likely be fine, but the install sucks.
I'll start by saying that a close friend bought the full size version of this for his duty 870 about ten years ago and he loved it. I picked up a pistol grip only LE trade in 870 so I ordered the 12" LOP version. This way if it end up being too short, I can always put a slip on recoil pad (likely a Limbsaver) over it. That way I'll still have a somewhat shorter stock with extra cushion (oh yeah).
The instruction give vague mention of invisible slits in the buttpad where the two buttpad screws are located. You have to lube up a standard size screwdriver (a very creepy experience when my wife walked it and saw me rubbing olive oil on the screwdriver). I told her "Hey, if I'm gonna lube it, it might as well smell good". She decided to leave me alone with my stock and lubed screwdriver.
It took several tries to find the hidden screws, then I finally got it off. The included stock bolt takes a 7/16" socket. I used a deep well socket and an extension that was the same size of the socket. You'll need a longer extension if you only have standard depth sockets (or a long hex head driver).
I've yet to shoot it, but I will report back. I also have pictures that I will upload soon.
