The Italian Army Landmine Pick is an essential tool used by the Italian Army to remove and deal with landmines in the field. One side of the landmine pick is sharp and curved to aid in the removal of landmines from the ground. The other side of the landmine pick can be used as a hammer, which the Italian Army used to drive landmine warning signs into the ground.
The Italian Army Landmine Pick is an authentic piece of Italian Army surplus. Used by trained soldiers in the field to remove landmines, this heavy duty tool can easily be repurposed to help you in the garden.
It is a hand adze and mine was in very good shape. Just a little touching up with a fine file and a quick stoning and was able to practice a bit on a piece of wood to flatten a side like it was built for.
its actually for wood!
I don't think this is for landmines, it's actually a tool for removing the bark and branchest from felled trees. Also suitable for breastworks - these are for entranching. They're solid and will work well for any... trenches... you need.
It's not a pick, it's an adze...
But other than a slight discrepancy w/ the description, it's a useful tool. I don't have a lot of landmines to deal with, but it's a handy tool for getting down & dirty in the garden.
