I am the king of hats as I have so many that I could open a hat store. Most of them are worthless and have some problem or other. This Italian hat is just terrific as it covers everything with soft wool very nicely. By everything I mean not only the top of my bald head, but also my forehead, ears, and (most importantly) the back of my neck. Yes, there is material that goes there, almost to my upper back. Other reviewers don't mention this--maybe because mine is XL for my bowling ball head. When it gets real cold here two hats are needed and this one provides plenty of room for another wooly underneath it. I just ordered another one.

Warm and adequate ear cover or wear backward to give neck a bit more cover. Good quality weave& snug fit. West coast cold snap now and good to go as far as warmth goes

I bought the xl and it fit pretty good on my head. Very warm and the little bib keeps the sun out of my eyes when I wear my sun glasses. Will pick up and second to stick in the with my car roadside kit for the winter months. Just love it!!!

Didn't know quite what to expect with these but I love interesting hats! At this price I decided to take a chance on two - one for me, one for my daughter - so I ordered one of each size available. I figured the larger size would be huge on me but it wasn't. I normally wear a size 7-1/2 hat and the larger size is just right on me. I can't comment on the fit of the smaller one because I haven't opened it yet. It'll be a stocking-stuffer. Quality is excellent! As advertised, it's in unissued condition in a plastic bag. The wool material feels like excellent quality and is very pleasing to the touch - not itchy at all. My daughter saw me wearing mine yesterday and commented that it looked "Splendifferous". She says that means "something better than wonderful". I hope she thinks as much for hers. Cheers!
