The Italian Army Wool Socks are a great pair of wool blend socks that are issued in high numbers to the Italian Army. Made by the famous Italian brand "Follow Me!" these socks still contain the factory tag showing they are brand new and made by a quality manufacturer in Italy.

Not as thick as the East German but everyday wear - comfortable and still wool.
I wear wool socks every day, 7 days a week. I'd buy these again, because the pricing is so good. Nobody has mentioned that the acrylic used in them gives the socks a real foot odor situation in just one day if you use them in waterproof boots.
I prefer these over the dutch socks. They are thinner than Dutch but hold up pretty good. Keep my feet warm. For this price you can't go wrong. I machine wash and air dry.
These Italian army wool socks are not as thick and warm like the Dutch wool socks but they are very comfortable and breathable.
These are a fantastic mid-weight sock! I bought some to try, and liked them so much I ordered more. Can't beat the value, quality wool socks for a great price.
Feel lighter than US issue sock but well made and breathable comfort built in. New and hand wash to avoid shrinkage. You cant go wrong with this purchase
I got a few pairs of these this holiday season in place of getting the Dutch Coyote socks which are my usual, and in this case I definitely do not regret trying something different. The quality of the weave and density of the wool has to be seen and felt on ones foot to be appreciated. I would certainly purchase these again, get them while they last!
I love these socks! I use as part of a base layer of my riding suit. Wool is the only way to go when riding a motorcycle in winter. Keeps my feet warm and along with the other proper gear, makes for an enjoyable ride.
Extra long socks that come high up on my calves (I'm 6'3) much longer than almost any civvie socks. They are breathable almost like diabetic socks, but have more body, not so soft (not that they're not soft and comfy.) Good deal especially for bigger feet!
I have been looking for a pair of wool/wool blend socks that would come up to my knees, instead of to my calves, and these are just what I have been looking for. They have kept my feet warm this fall and cannot wait to try them out in colder weather. I will be buying more to stock up on them.
Really like these socks. Use them in work boots and casual shoes. Just a little on the big side for my size 10 feet, but for the price they are awesome. I think I have over 10 pairs.
Great - thinner than the East German wool socks but high quality. Great but they are Army green.
I like the mid weight of the this sock vs the Dutch Wool socks. These fix my 9.5 size foot. They are very comfortable for lounging around too.
I bought these as a higher quality alternative to Boy Scout uniform socks for cold weather, or hiking. The color is a little darker than the scout uniform, but close enough. They fit well, and are thin enough to not make my shoes/boots tight, but thick enough to be warm and prevent blisters.
These Italian socks are top quality wool and are very comfortable. Sizing reflects what has been stated in previous reviews, and the fit provided is great. No blisters yet, so I am happy with my purchase.
I recently bought five pairs along with three pair of the dutch wool socks. These socks are thinner but still comfortable. They will become my work socks when the weather turns warm this spring.I wear a size 12. Machine wash warm and dryer at medium temps and they still fit very well. Money well spent.
I wear a size 11.5 and 12 shoe and these socks fit me just right.
This is a very good deal for some nice quality wool socks. I ordered two pair and after wearing them for a while I decided I'd better get some more before they was sold out.
I just ordered four more pair.If you need some warm wool socks now is the time to order, you won't regret it.
Fit is perfect on my size 10.5's. Material is smooth, comfortable, cool. Pretty much the only socks I've worn that don't make my feet sweat! I'm in love.
These socks are a nice fit on my size 12 shoe. They are lighter than the dutch socks offered here on this site. I will be trying these out for hot weather hiking in the coming weeks. I will be ordering more of these and the dutch for sure.
So many wool socks these days are simply too tight upon reception, and only get tighter as you wash them. Very few people do it right.
But on keep shooting, there are two pairs that fit exactly how they should.. Which is a little bit loose in the beginning with room to spare for shrinkage.
Those are the Dutch army socks (heavyweight) and now these amazing Italian wool socks (mid weight). I absolutely love them! Incredibly soft, roomy, and oh so comfortable. They don't cut off the circulation, and are actually cut properly which so few socks are these days.
Color is beautiful dark heather, top quality weave and craftsmanship. Can be worn in spring and winter. Ever since I got them they are my favorite just to lounge around the house in too.
If you a smaller sized guy with wee feet, have no fear.. But a pair of these beauties (amazing value for money) and shrink those suckers deliberately. You will get a thicker sock, that now fits ;) some call this process boiling as in boiled wool.
But for us larger guys, just wash them regularly and let them air dry .. No fancy detergent required. I used to swear by the merino wool socks at SAMs, but what a lousy cut and way too tight. From here on out I will be rocking the Italian wool socks and Dutch wool socks from KS.
MARK MY WORDS - like myself, you will be back for more. Crazy value for an amazing quality sock. Super soft. I love this place!
The socks I received are very nice for the price. I wear a size 10 and these fit ok. Size 10 and up should have no problem with them, however if your a men's size 9 or smaller I would take into consideration that these might be a bit big, once they start to stretch out a bit because they have a "fitted" heal.
A good average thickness wool sock. I would rate its thickness similar to your average "Crew sock." Not heavy but not thin like a dress sock.
These aren't very "fluffy soft" but are stout construction and should hold up pretty well. If you like to wear wool socks in the spring summer and fall this would be a good choice.
We all know Italy is famous for clothes quality. These socks reflect that. They are soft, well constructed and warm, yet not bulky. A excellent pair of socks for the money.
