The Italian Army Wool Sweater is one of the nicest military surplus sweaters we have ever imported. This sweater has a style and classic look that is more associated with a fashion line than a military force. When we first saw these sweaters, we knew they would be an item that our customers would love especially considering the price and fact they were never issued.
What you will immediately like about these sweaters is the grey-brown color that was chosen for them. This neutral color allows the sweater to be worn with any style or color pants from khakis to blue jeans. The quarter zip neck will give you the ability to unzip the sweater some when it is warm, or zip it up fully when it is cold. The cuffs, waistband, and collar are all ribbed for a near tailored fit that is stylish and comfortable.

This one is OK to wear to work in an office- not particularly military unless someone really knows their surplus- more brown than olive drab/green. I'm 6'-2" 195 wide shoulders, longish arms- XL fits pretty good; arms/shoulders right length/width. More expensive than other military sweaters, but a good deal; because of tweener weight and civilian aspect, I'm getting a lot of use out of it.
Can't say whether it is 100% wool or not but it feels like it. It has no labels in it. I also bought the 'Dutch Coyote Commando Sweater' which has a 100% wool tag inside. The material feels identical to me.
I ordered the XL and am 6'0" 210lbs.
This XL sweater fits snugly around the neck, waist and wrists to keep the cold out. There is lots of extra room in the arms, presumably for dudes with bigger biceps than mine.
I expected more of a sage color based on the product photo, but my sweater is much more green. I love it and will get lots of use out of it. Can't stand all the synthetic stuff sold in stores, and wool is crazy expensive retail.
The initial "add" for this sweater indicates a WOOL BLEND
once reading the details there is no other mention of the blend, it makes one assume it might be 100% wool ...
Be careful.... I was hoping for a "shrink fit" sweater
Rated high, but no idea
