Wasn't expecting much
Review by Rayshon A.
..and didn't get much. If you are willing to put in the work to sharpen it, this it might be worth it to you. It will not cut anything right out of the box. The sheath is pretty cheap, but the knife snaps in and the blade is covered so it does it's job.

KA-BAR Dozier Skeleton Fixed Knife/ neck knife
Review by Donnell S.
The KA-BAR/Dozier Skeleton knife is a lightweight fixed blade knife that can be worn as a neck knife or concealed in a pocket or pack. The blade and handle are made of 5Cr15 stainless steel, having good sharpening properties and exceptional corrosion resistance and 2.625" is a great size for a blade on a neck knife and the drop point shape is the same as the folding Dozier Hunter knife. The skeletonized handle makes the knife as light as possible. A sturdy hard plastic sheath comes included that features an opening towards the top for a lanyard. I’m just not confident enough of it retention ability, so I haven’t yet worn it as a neck knife. When I get around to carrying it, I’ll probably just keep it in its sheath and slide it into my front pants pocket.

Arrived sharp, pretty good steel. Very good value for the price!
Review by Quade L.
It holds up well, for a beater you cannot beat the price. Not a primary EDC unless you are doing routine chores with it, if you are taking it out in the woods I'd go with something a little more stout. I take mine jogging, and it is reliable.

Ok for the money
Review by Tacuma P.
It is a minimalist ok quality piece of steel. It'll sharpen decently--stainless so it won't hold it. But for the price, and OK survival, throw in the glove compartment or backpack type of knife. I'm planning to braid one up with paracord; give it a decent grip.

Nice Little Knife
Review by Larayne C.
Sometimes you just don't need a high dollar knife. Or, perhaps you just want a simple blade to toss in the glove compartment or in a pocket. For times like that, Ka-Bar has a solution in its Skeleton series. The Dozier is one of two Ka-Bar Skeletons I own, the other being the Jarosz Rambler. The Dozier is made in China from a single piece of 5Cr15 stainless, fashioned into a drop point hollow grind blade. Overall length is 6.375" with the blade measuring out at 2.625" and .125" thick at it's widest. It fits nicely into its plastic sheath, perhaps not as securely as the Jarosz but that can probably be fixed with some judicious application of a heat gun. As it stands it should be able to retain the knife suspended inverted from a neck lanyard or on a clip, but I'd prefer the fit to be a bit more secure. As pictured, I've wrapped both my Skeletons' hafts in paracord which provides a comfortable grip. The Dozier is in the black/blue cord.
As shown, the Dozier is slightly longer than the Jarosz which is 6" long with a 2.5" blade. Both have the same 5Cr15 content and hollow grind edge. Personally I find I like the Jarosz a bit better, although I'm not sure if it's because of the proportions, the clip point blade, or both. Regardless, at this price you can buy both and decide for yourself. Either will serve you well when all you need is a simple knife for a light job, or as a good starting point if you want to try your hand at making a custom knife.

You can insert the blade facing either way but the catch holing it in works one way.

The knife itself seems to be okay. I use such knives for a variety of light cutting tasks. I may wrap most of the handle in tape.

Sadly not consistent quality
Review by Felicia A.
I loved this knife the first time I bought it. It’s probably been my favorite one to carry and never had an issue with it. When I moved, it got misplaced so I bought a second one recently from here. The knife has not been used or really taken from my home since I got it and the blade rusted already. I’m sad this happens as it shows inconstancy in quality and I’m all about this companies products. I’m hoping this can be fixed or replaced by the seller but I will spend time trying to repair this myself until conversations Start if they do.

Tough bugger
Review by Brittney O.
I’ve had my Dozier fixed for a while.
It is a great utility knife, and is in my work bag for some of the cutting I need at work. Recently, ordered a second to stay in the car as a back up to my work one.
It’s definitely not a tactical, but it’s very handy all over the place

Review by Octavio H.
Seems like a good little knife very slim and easy to store somewhere as an emergency knife. as a cutting tool. The handle is a little smaller than I'd like. It would make a good wilderness knife for a kid.

Decent knife!
Review by Billy F.
I love this knife! Very sharp, lightweight and convenient. It can be wrapped in paracord, used as a neck knife or can even slide inside of your molle straps on the outside of your bag for quick access. You could probably even design your own micro "survive kit" in the skeleton frame and wrap it with paracord. It's light and cheap enough to carry several in your bag(s) car, motorcycle or anywhere. And its also a balanced throwing knife!
