This is a good design but the coating they used was cheap and started to chipped, not what I expected from the company with long history with military.

The knife is a GREAT solution for weak side defense of CQB or weapon retention. The sheath, however, sucks. KA-BAR knows; it just costs way too much to replace it. Get an aftermarket sheath with 'loop pull the dot' straps and adjustable cant to mount it close to horizontal and it is much more comfortable. Don't buy the bigger one; it's way too big for concealed carry or warbelt carry.

KBar setting the standard again. I use it on my duty belt as an LEO. Sits behind my taser well and comfortable. Not a utility knife, this is a get off me knife and is easy draw from and return to sheath. I use every day and have had not issues. Haven’t fallen out during foot pursuits or struggles.
