I like the knife, it appears to be solidly made, and the coating on the blade seems tough. I don't really care for the sheath, especially the metal belt clip. The clip is relatively thin and has sharp edges. I'm scared to sit on my leather couch or on any other delicate fabric for fear of tearing it. I'm not in law enforcement, so I imaging this wouldn't be a problem if attached to a duty belt.

I got this knife for my husband and he thoroughly enjoys it. The knife was very sharp when it came and we did not have to do anything to it to sharpen it.I guess the only thing I don't like about it is how easily you can cut yourself when taking it out of the sheath because of the design of the knife. But that isn't the product's fault. You just have to be careful when playing with sharp objects. Overall, I like it and my husband loves it so 5 stars :)

Awesome little knife. Excellent for concealment. I bought it with the Ankle Rig for TDI Law Enforcement Knife and the whole set up is very comfortable and easy to get to. This is not a big, bad knife for showing off, but it would cause a tremendous amount of damage in close quarters; more than likely deadly with the correct strike. The retention features would make it very difficult for a bad guy to take away. I am in a wheelchair, so I wear this on my left ankle to grab with my right hand.

Concealed Self Defense

I really was not sure what I would get from a $30 dollar knife even though it has the Ka-Bar name. Well I have a well constructed, sharp, and easily handled concealed weapon. Originally intended for a weak hand draw for LEOs and to be worn behind their magazine pouch. As a civilian I wear it in 11 o'clock position for weak hand draw or strong hand draw. The sheath that came with it is nice, I do not think it is Kydex, but the knife clicks in and will not come out until you want it to. The belt clip is reversible (so you can have the sheath inside or outside the belt) and clips around my belt securely. The belt clip seems kinda of week at first because there is not a lot of tension on it, but after months of wearing it and taking it on and off at least twice a day it is still holding strong. I do not use this as a pocket knife and I have only used it once as such, so I can not tell you how the edge will hold under heavy use.

Overall I am extremely happy with the quality of the TDI and would recommend this to anyone who would like a self defense edged weapon.

Really cool last ditch knife. With the scabbard it fits on my duty belt and blends in next to my taser. Easy access, but not overly apparent. So far good knife with a good blade and I would recommend it.

At first, this knife looked funny to me, but it grew on me to the point that I love it. It's a little over 2 inches making it fit the ridiculous requirements for sensitive areas in California. Out of the box, it came very sharp, and the plastic sheath/belt clip so far is pretty durable--contrary to some other reviews that I've read. The knife looks and feels to be made of high quality. I take it with me everywhere I go--except for restricted areas--and because of the handle only being the size of my hand, I know that it would be difficult to drop it or have it taken away if I were to need it in a defensive situation. I highly recommend the TDI.

As an ex-cop... I wish I had known about this knife back then! I never carried any knife on duty... but I would have carried this one! A few other things to consider (PLEASE LOOK AT YOUR STATE'S LAWS 1st)... The blade is less than 3" so it does NOT require a concealed weapons permit to carry. VERY SOLID. Comes with the Kydex holster so you don't need to upgrade it (unless you want the ankle holster). You can also exchange out the screws and change it from right to left handed. I've learned to carry it on my left side and hold it with the blade side pointing out from my pinkie finger. Wish it was made in America though (Like a TRUE Ka-Bar). I'd pay more for it if it was.

This is the ultimate backup knife. The blade is extra long and razor sharp. It can be used to slice open the jugular vein of your attacker if your weapon goes down on you. I trust my life to this awesome weapon.
