I bought this knife to carry in places I couldn't carry my pistol and it ended up being so much more than I thought it would be. The knife is extremely comfortable in your hand and draws instinctively from it's inside the waistband sheath. Often when I'm wearing gym shorts or having to go into banks and restaurants I don't want to or can't carry my pistol. This knife is an excellent option and allows me to keep at least some level of armed protection.
Pros:
-Amazing handle, the ergos on this knife are unlike anything I've experienced with a knife.
-Durable and useful blade
-Comfortable and useful sheath
-Extreme value! This knife is worth twice what it costs.
Cons:
-Fragile rubber/plastic O-rings on sheath. Some of mine are started splitting after only a couple weeks of use and I've never taken the sheath apart. Really unacceptable.
-Sheath came covered in oil and required extensive cleaning before use (minor gripe)

I got this knife mind you with free shipping and man it got here fast. The knife arrive sharp and ready. It came with the clip on hook instead of the belt loop so I was really happy about that. the metal on the belt hook is thin and will bend so careful.

I carry this for self defense. It's very easy to conceal on a belt. I've literally forgot I had it on, because it disappears. For training, it employs a pistol grip, and uses gross motor skills (shanking). I would wear it on the weak side (left), opposite of a firearm on the right side (This would be vice-versa if you are left handed).
PROS:
Easy to Conceal.
Easy to Use, doesn't require a lot of complicated training.
Price. Relatively inexpensive, and a good choice in the $30 price point range.
AUS 8 Steel.
CONS:
Limited use. This isn't an everyday carry knife; this is designed to do one thing.
EDIT: I originally made a mistake as I thought the steel used was 480. I was incorrect. This is made out of AUS8.

I bought this knife and clip on sheath to carry on my weak or left side. I carry a Glock on my right. The reason for this is if any one tries to grab your gun you can disable the person with the knife. It is very sharp and the curvature is just right for slicing.

This is a great product Ka-Bar always had a top quality product. My only complaint is that the blade is a little small the overall size is good and in a defense situation it would be easy to draw and effective. It does draw a little attention to you with it being a different knife then people are used to seeing. Overall I would recommend it.

This blade is hair popping sharp out of the box. The total size was smaller than I thought it would be, but it fits the hand great. Have not used it with sheath attached yet for ease of deployment tests.

The Ka-Bar TDI is an amazing knife. Although the description of what is included with the knife isn't great (never was it mentioned that it DOES include the metal belt clip) the quality and weight of this fixed blade are truly one of a kind.
