This KaBar TDI is very well made in Taiwan. To all the people that say it's not a k-bar because it's not made in the US..wrong. Taiwan makes very very great knives all my Cold Steels are made in Taiwan. This knife fits very well into my big hands. It a punch stabber designed to be a last resort wepon if someone were to pin you down or attempt to take your sidearm. Its full tang AUS8A steel. Very sharp and sharpness back up very nice and easy. The sheath is well made too i like the way it clips to the belt strong. Conceals comfortably They do make different aftermarket sheath's for it if you prefer a different feel/look

For the money, this is a great value from Kabar. Fits my hands very well and is small enough not to be a problem

Belt clip is horrible
Review by Rela N.

Knife seems ok but the sheath is horrible. It cannot mount horizontally and once you put it on molle webbing it is almost impossible to remove because of the clip design. I ended up bending it too much to remove it due to the tab and now the clip is useless so I either have to pay more money to order a new clip or make my own. I don't think I would buy again without a clip redesign. I expect more from ka bar.

Solid piece and great EDC

My hands are average size so anyone with large hands might find the handle small. Kydex scabbard locks knife completely in place and metal clip locks on my 1.5 inch Nexbelt and I can draw against the opening with no problems. I have multiple Ka-Bars and have never been let down. Only improvement I would make is a scabbard that could be mounted horizontally.

Not as nice as I was hoping

The handle material is very cheap.
The sheath prevents you from getting a proper grip of the handle when drawing the knife unless you remove material where your index finger should go.
The handle is no less obtrusive than a conventional fixed blade I was hoping to iwb appendix carry this knife but it is too uncomfortable to get away with for edc even as a person with no gut maybe the new detective model with a shorter handle would work better.

Five Star Impressive Concealment Blade, BUT...

This blade is very impressive to use and to own, even though I'm giving it five stars there are some details about it that should be known to anyone who would consider owning it...
Positive **
~ The concealment features of the blade are undeniable. I wore this at the side of my torso and even the back of my torso...bending over to pick up items and to rest on a knee all had minimal to no exposure of the blade was on my person. It's a small blade, so it won't attract attention to you at all. Even sitting down in a car and with your back pressed to the seat didn't feel at all.
~ Even though I mentioned it, it's important to know that the blade can clip-on to the belt that you're wearing. It can even be shifted depending on the position where you'd have the blade at.
Negative **
~ Holding onto the knife, and even grasping it quick to unsheathe and bring out in a quick and fluid motion can take a little practice. If you grasp onto it wrong, and just try to pull it out it might not come out the way you'd like and even though you have it out...it might look somewhat awkward instead of an imposing sight for someone to witness.
~ Don't use this knife with the mindset of a standard blade, due to the holding and design of the blade it's more for the use of police or military and these people have experience with guns. I myself have experience, and I can easily get into using this. Some might have the wrong mindset if they were to use this knife and it might not go well for them. This needs to be kept in mind if a person were to use this in a confrontation.
~ Wearing the knife clipped onto a thicker belt means that it might somewhat move when worn, if you're wearing a thinner belt it would arguably be more secure due to it "snapping" into place. It factors into how you should wear it and where it should be along your body.
Even still...it's absolutely worth having.

The sheath belt clip lost its tension after a few uses. NOW the knife, sheath unit too easily falls off of anywhere i attempt to securely clip it. Now it fails to provide the defense options of quick, last grasp utility advertised! Disappointed!
