The M26 Modular Accessory Shotgun System (MASS) Ammo Pouch is a pouch produced by Tactical Assault Gear for use with the M26 Modular Accessory Shotgun System. Deployment of the M26 MASS began during the Iraq and Afghanistan wars where soldiers equipped with M4 rifles found the need for a shotgun that was capable of breaching doors and shooting specialized less lethal shotgun shells. With the design of the M26 borrowing heavily from commercial shotguns, it was a natural progression to utilize a magazine similar in design and size as the Saiga-12.
