Description

The small survival kit from MHF Inc is one of the most feature rich survival kits we've ever seen. With everything you would need as an individual to deal with surviving for a few days in the wild, this survival kit is the minimum you would want in your bug out bag or disaster kit.

In addition to having virtually every item you would need to survive for a few days in the wild, the survival kit is stored in a small black water proof case. I think the only real advantage of the kit is the compactness of the items. They may but of limited usefulness (the compass was completely non-functional) but at least they don't take up any space. Toss it in the glove box and hope you won't need it.

Overall, a nice basic kit to throw in your car. Contains the listed items and that's about it, so you could assemble one for less, especially if you got enough to build multiple kits. The box is solid, with 4 clips to keep it closed, but definitely not waterproof. There is room to add a few items, and you would want to add at least a small folding knife and some waterproof matches. . It has the magnesium rod type fire-starter, but nothing to strike it with except the razor blade, which would not go well. If you want to try that, throw in a few band-aids as well.
