Super Ruck! Well Made & Quality Materials 0 people found this helpful

    Overall Rating

So here is the first month review of my new MilTec ruck! First the ruck shipped quickly from the factory. When it arrived the material and construction of the ruck is of excellent quality. I would say it's on the heavy side, more so that I was looking for. My first issue was how I was able to tighten the compression straps on each of the pouches. The way it was set up was to run the end through the strap and through a hole at the base of the ruck and then pull tight by way of a belt buckle (the end runs through a strap keeper first so you can pull that tight and lock it up with the belt buckle) this system is more than capable of securing the bag. It just looks weird, looks like the thing was converted from something that was not designed to be used as a ruck. I tried looping the straps through the D rings and snapping them together with the other straps (all four of them, like two short tie downs) and it worked much better, looks much better and I am not even going to try tightening it all the way with the buckle because the top flap on the top part is held down with velcro, no buckle needed. It was set up for what they were going for which was very easy, I just wanted a more extreme design. It is a great back pack, comfortable and the capacity is a nice big! The back straps will expand the main part to hold some 2L containers in the front (with more inside the ruck, not just what you see). Great Job guys, it looks good on me when I use the loop thing! Thanks for the bag. Oh the outside pocket that zips down the length of the back is not big enough to fit a 10 inch tablet, like an iPad Air. Maybe if it was like a sleeping bag zipper (two halves that separate completely when you open it) that would be fine. Just that it doesn't sit up high enough. I'll try a small 7 inch tablet and see how it goes. Thanks. The only gripe i have, aside from the small outside pocket (did I mention that? )is that

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PACK!! A must have for anyone on the fence!!!! 0 people found this helpful

First off, i have to admit that i was very nervous when ordering from Ireland, I thought it might take awhile to get it, and it did, 3 months to be exact. That in itself had me nervous. Then when it finally arrived and I looked at it, I wasn't disappointed. The bag itself is sturdy, robust and built very well. There are several very well thought out MOLLE pouches that can hold quite a bit. The waist strap is thick rubber, so if you like things right up against your body you will love it. The bottom is double stitched with thick nylon and will take a beating. The straps that are over the shoulders are thick and do not pinch. It holds my laptop, netbook and tablet in separate sections along with 2 molle pouches that hold a first aid kit and my portable solar panel (along with everything else that i have in it, like shoes, extra clothes and so on). As for shipping it is well worth the wait and the quality of the item was well worth it. Now if you don't mind waiting for it and don't mind spending 50.00 on the cost of shipping from a us seller. I say get the CLC Medium size 50L MOLLE Rucksack Tactical Backpack and it will serve your purpose just fine, the size of the bag makes it easy to maneuver in and out of the woods, you don't need something this bulky if all you are going to do is use it to carry a few books around campus. However, if you want something sturdy, long lasting, that you will be proud to be caught out in the woods, I suggest the 50L Mil Tech MOLLE Assault Pack and for under 50.00 shipped, its a steal. Also, keep in mind that if you need it sooner, pay the shipping. That will cost you about 10 bucks and it may take a few days longer to arrive, or you can get it here from us for free in 3 weeks and take the extra money you

This backpack can go through hell and back! 0 people found this helpful

If you're in the military, or civilian that does outdoors stuff. Buy this pack, you will not be disappointed. I took this pack on my second and final jump course. From going up and down mountains, swimming in ponds/rivers, carrying heavy weight, and other stuff. The pack never ripped, nor had any problems. And I still use it today! The pack has multiple zippers that help expand the pack when you need to. There's 2 main zippers, one is a long zipper and the other is on the bottom. You can adjust the length of the backpack. There's 3 compression straps on the sides, and 2 in the middle of the backpack. There's also two straps on the bottom of the backpack that allows it to expand when needed. It's 30L capacity is enough to hold what you need, but you can still pack more.

Great product for what it's designed for 0 people found this helpful

I bought this as a general bag. Great product for what it's designed for. Very durable, but is large. I find the double straps very handy. This is a very handy bag to travel with. The laptop section was large enough to fit my computer. This bag did not have enough compartments for me. So, if you're looking for organization, look elsewhere.

great value, robust construction 0 people found this helpful

Having had one for 12 months now and having taken it backpacking and to many music festivals and festivals. The construction is solid, strong webbing and molle with hard-wearing materials used in all of the pockets. It is also spacious with many pockets and zipped compartments.
