So good I would've paid double the price!

Sure, this knife may come across as a bit "simple," but it's simple in the same way that In-N-Out Burger's Double Double is simple. It's not particularly classy or novel, but it does everything it needs to do and it does so admirably. It doesn't try to come across as the latest and greatest must-have "tacticool" gadget, it's a rugged, simple, and dependable knife that will serve you well for years to come. Do note that the Rat 1 has a 3.5" blade, so it may not necessarily be legal in for you to carry around in your jurisdiction. If you need a smaller blade to stay street-legal or just don't really feel all that compelled to carry a large knife, the Rat 2 has a smaller (and frankly more reasonably sized) 3" blade and is just as great of a knife as its larger sibling. Overall this knife is an excellent choice for both new and seasoned knife lovers alike and at $30-ish its an excellent value too.

Missing washers

Bought from OKC direct, I got bronze washer on the left and teflon washer on the right. Overall it is a surprisingly big knife, a bit rough and it is no doubt cheap. Return.

Not made in the USA as advertised

Ordered the Model 1 based on what would have been an amazing price for a USA made knife from Ontario. Too good to be true. While all the descriptions indicate it is made in the USA, it is in fact made in Taiwan. See the blade pics. It's a solid knife, Taiwan makes good steel. It's a good knife and because of that I'll keep it in my toolbox. Just thought others should know.

I bought this a couple months ago and returned it because it's a BIG knife and I have "Large Gloves" hands. Opening it smoothly was difficult and it's technically illegal to carry in my state. Then it went on sale and I couldn't turn down buying it again for the price. I spent a night getting use to opening it and now it's seemless for me. it's a beast and have it stored in my BOG as a heavier duty knife that I don't mind losing or destroying. I highly recommend.

Fantastic knife and for under 50 it is one of the smoothest functioning and best quality builds out there. If you're on the edge, buy it. No one is ever disappointed in a rat 2

They purposely don’t show the one side of the blade that says “Taiwan”.

I don't have much to say about this knife other than it's very smooth (the action of the blade motion), very solid craftsmanship, no wiggling of the blade, and very sharp.
It was also larger than I expected, in a good way!

Not D2 Steel

The Rat 1 is a great knife for every day carry. Please note you can get this knife in D2 Steel which is much better than AUS 8 steel (this model) for the same price. Shop around.
