Great Bought to hold in hand of AR and knife comes with an edge. Doesn't feel very sturdy or high quality compared to other knives from Ok C. Only for people who are too impatient to sharpen a blade and won't get sharp for a while. Will make it a gift but didn't make it a Christmas present because a lot has broken with Amazon shipping already and worried the recipient won't like it and not sure about exchange process.

Blade is loose but otherwise a nice blade!

I got the one that was supposed to be sharp but I found that I couldn't shave with it. I guess you have to go a bit more then I do for an honest to goodness sharp blade.

Made for fighting. One of the few combat knives I have owned that is also designed for chopping, with a short enough blade that makes getting in close easy and not impractical for camping and hunting. Very strong, sturdy blade that has a little flex for stabbing, good hand guard that will break bones with impact and cut like light saber if you hit a vital point. Very well made knife with high quality coating and no edge dressing needed. Came razor sharp, so you can go out tomorrow and kill with it. Not the knife for fine cooking, fine cutting wood, wood working, a shaving/skinning knife, decorative knife, unless you want a cheaply decorated knife, etc. It will also tear a tarp, cloth etc with very little effort. If you buy a machete to use for heavy chopping/clearing brush you should consider this knife for the right situations. It is better suited for defense than chopping heavy logs, and the smaller size is a bonus for camping. For camping and hunters who don't need it for survival use, it will work better than most military knives and combat/utility fixed blades, due to it's small size for camping, ease of transport, sturdiness and all around use, and the full tang construction is strong.

I own 4 other Kabars from Ka-Bar (7-1/2", 6-1/2", Ontario 3-1/2", and the standard Army Ka-Bar) but for the same price, or a little more, the Marines' Ontario 7-1/2" Kabar has better materials and the "Full Flush Mount" capability is a major plus. I have a large slip plate mount on my Sig MPX with one of these for emergency or when attached I have full functioning controls on both sides. A really sturdy well made knife. Fit and finish are good. The butt of the knife fits my large hand comfortably and all the sturdiness is there. A serious blade.

Bought this to mount to an Armalite Rifle in Colt M4 Carbine pattern. This fits that application very well. The original Bayonet scabbard is functional and it is worth noting that if this bayonet scabbard (which appears much older) has broken over time and caused this to have more of a curve in its original place of mounting on the original bayonet scabbard then that is likely the scabbard manufacturer's doing. But I had no issue. My Armalite was an F3 and has much more length to its grip and also a longer gas block. This allows a good fit on the original USGI Bayonet Mounts and has a nice ergonomic shape to them. The Bayonet mount was held with a threaded rod into two captive threads in the end and that has been functional with this setup. However it is very difficult to clean. But when attached, looks very good. Well worth the $100+ I paid. Recommended if you appreciate military/Bayonets/etc

its the best under $50 blade that i have. nothing fancy, sharp as hell out of the box, with a secure fit. all its lacking is g10 handle but for $50-70 this thing will tear up anything. I love Ontario knives for being so inexpensive but still have good durability, you cant beat em for what they are

Amazing. Only way to go for a good stabbing knife. Not made to punch but great for cutting and stabbing a wall. Good for an added defense knife to you belt but don’t use it to stab. Not designed for that. For that you need something more like a “hunter” bowie.

I have purchased several tactical knives from various vendors. I own several of KA-BAR knives. I also purchased a Camillus (a knife company from New York) bayonet for use with M1 Carbine. The Okc-3S is by far the best knife I have owned. It is far better than any knife I purchased for 4x to 5x the price.

I love this knife! It's a little heavier than I expected but it fits my hand perfectly and feels great in my hands. The blade is very sharp and the sheath holds the knife well without any issues.
